What's Wrong?!
I know it's been a long time since my last blog, but I've been very busy these days. I guess that's a good thing with the economy the way it is. When I saw the story about the Dallas police officer, I was outraged but not surprised. I just read a similar story where a guy had his dying mom in the car and the police officer acted the same way. From the "accidental" shooting that happened in Oakland to this. It seems like you read stories like this more & more all because of some narcissistic cop abusing his power. It's kind of scary when you got someone who barley made it out of high school have so much authority. Don't get me wrong, I know being a cop is hard and very stressful, but if you had a choice, who would pick to be a cop? The pay is bad and it's one of the most dangerous you can think of. The sad part about it is that he'll probably get a paid vacation and go back to work after a few sensitivity classes. Is it just me or is there something really wrong here? It should be a privilege to be a police officer. Because the power that they have, they should be held to a higher standard than everyone else. You know this guy didn't care about that family and their situation, he just wanted to let them know who was in charge. If you check his facebook, you can see that he's only sorry he got caught.

Glad to see you posting and I so agree with you. I am concerned about the cops on the job that show know empathy. My OB gets pulled over when he is driving to deliver a baby. Cops seem to not care. I shouldn't say all but enough. Now I hear that some of the positions here in pg will get cut. I'm worried because now there will be less cops working harder for less pay. These cops are going to be overworked and can you really protect me with good judgment if you are overworked and underpaid.
